St Matthews-based IT firm, Louisville Geek, is hosting a block party fundraising event in St. Matthews on June 21st. The proceeds will be donated to a very special little girl, one-year-old Hadley Mercer who was diagnosed with high-risk acute myeloid leukemia when she was six months old. After fighting through several rounds of intense chemotherapy, a donor was found, and she underwent a bone marrow transplant to save her life.
The Mercer family are residents of St. Matthews. As one might imagine, their lives have been shaken and their family displaced as Hadley receives intensive care outside of Louisville.
Please join St Matthews neighbors Molly Malone’s, Drake*s, Tin Roof, Mellow Mushroom, BBC and Saints as they host an afternoon of music and entertainment, in addition to a large silent auction. All proceeds go to the Mercer Family. Tickets are $50 each and include drink and appetizer specials, as well as cover costs for two bands that will play on a stage in the BBC parking lot directly across the street from Louisville Geek’s office.
To reserve tickets, please visit http://lougeek.com/blockparty. If you are interested in donating an item to be used in the silent auction, please visit http://lougeek.com/donation-form/. No donation is too large or too small, and they will be collecting donations through May 30th.
This is a great event for a wonderful cause, and a chance to give back to those who need a blessing in our community. I hope you can attend or donate!
