Tyler Park Jazz Festival Sundays

With the Willow Park Sumer Concert Series wrapping up last week, I was happy when I stumbled upon a great, Highlands family event to take its place for the rest of September! The Tyler Park Jazz Festival is happening at Tyler Park every Sunday evening during the month of September between 4 pm and 6 pm, and it’s FREE.

Tyler Park in the summer

At the Tyler Park Jazz Festival Sundays you will encounter fun for the whole family. There is a different jazz ensemble playing each week, Valu Market is selling food and beverages for you right in the park, you can bring chairs or a blanket to sit and enjoy the music, or you can utilize the rest of this lovely park to fellowship with your neighbors, and play with kids. The bands set up in the lower part of Tyler Park, and the music begins at 4:00.

The remaining Sundays will showcase the following bands:

September 14 – Dick Sisto Trio
September 21 – Mike Tracey Brazilian Ensemble
September 28 – U of L Jazz Ensemble

Your own food and beverage is allowed at the Tyler Park Jazz Festival Sundays, however please do not bring in outside alcohol. They also ask that you leave your pets at home. Other than that, bring your kids, bring your parents, bring your cousins, aunts, and uncles to Tyler Park on Baxter Ave between Windsor Ave and Edenside Ave in the 40204 for the remaining Sundays in September. The Tyler Park Jazz Festival Sundays is just another great opportunity to enjoy our fabulous neighborhood and usher in the fall season with our fabulous neighbors!
